Assistant Principal's Corner

Dear Blue Mountain Middle School Families,

I hope this message finds you well. My name is Maria Pearson, and I am honored to serve as the Assistant Principal at Blue Mountain Middle School. I am truly excited to be a part of this incredible school community and to partner with you in supporting our students’ growth, learning, and well-being.

I come to Blue Mountain with over 25 years of experience in education and most recently served as Assistant Principal at Hendrick Hudson High School. Before moving into administration, I spent many years as a math teacher, which gave me a deep appreciation for the learning process and the challenges students face every day. Throughout my career, I have been deeply committed to creating positive, inclusive, and engaging school environments where every student feels seen, supported, and challenged to reach their fullest potential.

From the moment I walked through the doors of Blue Mountain, I was greeted with such warmth and enthusiasm from both staff and students. It is clear that this is a community that values relationships, collaboration, and a shared commitment to excellence.

Throughout this school year, I look forward to getting to know our students and families, attending school events, and working alongside our dedicated teachers and staff to ensure that every child thrives—academically, socially, and emotionally.
