Hendrick Hudson's Annual Art Show is Now on Exhibit

Our art teachers were busy at work Wednesday preparing the Community Room at the Hendrick Hudson Free Library for the District's K-12 Visual Art Show, which has been an annual staple for more than two decades.

Hendrick Hudson's young artists will be represented from all five schools, ranging from Advanced Placement students to kindergartners.

"You really get an opportunity to see the students' whole journey in our program," Blue Mountain Middle School teacher Logan Krause said.

The exhibit will be on display from March 28 to April 28 and is open for all to attend.

"It's great to have the show here," Hendrick Hudson High School teacher Kristen Dini said. "Our whole community can come and see the great work of our students."

There will be a wide array of work on display, from abstracts to landscapes and watercolors. A highlight of the month-long exhibit will be the Artists' Reception on April 16 from 6-7 p.m., which will be followed by a Board of Education meeting in the same room.

"This gives our students a great opportunity to see how art can connect them to the community," BMMS teacher Paul Gioacchini said.
